You also need a working password sync mechanism. I have several computers

Pretty much every plugin password manager (at least for Firefox) does this.
Some of them are very sophisticated, light-years ahead of the horribly crude
mechanisms built into the browsers, some of which haven't changed for 10-15
years. Have a look at something like RoboForms or Sxipper or KeePass, for
example.
