Obama's Blackberry

I'm surprised that no one has brought up a discussion of this topic.
As it turns out, an off the shelf whizbang means of furnishing good
cryptographic communications via the highly portable BB was already
available when Our Man of the Hour was confronted with the security
necessity of changing his ways. Frankly, I would rather a person
watched where they walked rather that texting while stepping. But,
high tech to the rescue!

Which brings up a vital point: If him, why not everyone. Surely we
can't have that or the sky would fall. Of course the means of such
messaging would surely be monitored, would it not.. and recorded. Well
good guy, beware that ever since Nixon added that recording machine
the long term effects of picking Your obvious words and picking apart
casual comments without gestures, face expressions, or intonations
refining meanings became in the long run both welcome and dangerous
depending on your point of view.

Which also includes the next modification, that of merely using even a
common variety Blackberry as a peripheral modem, thus shielding the
actual cryptographic processing to shelled computers. Imagine the
truth, that any type communications can be encrypted and translated to
what ever a Blackberry of even a conventional keypad might handled
(Digits are wonderful things, and so handy for various bases.).
According to known methods, interception becomes worthless. Sleep
well, NSA.

I did project that the evolution of communications security would come
to this. And, denial of service becomes the only way of showing
displeasure of such progress. even DOS is so routine in many trivial
circumstances that it is expected. As it is, our communications grid
is fragile, not like the old commercial (50's) that showed the Bell
telephone ringing in a burned out lodging and a fireman answering it.
Unknown then, it's glitch city out there.

OK, bite the bullet and buy the bit (or trit), communications progress
is not about fine tuning control of it for mercenary goals but that
companies adequately serve the needs of the customers and as the
result of good leadership (severely lacking lately) people only use it
for benign purposes.
