But you're using the Ada programming language and conventional digital
computers.

You have a program that takes in some input (plaintext and some key
information) and produces some output (ciphertext). And another
program which (given the ciphertext and some key information of some
kind) produces the plaintext.

Ignoring the details (such as whether the "key information" is in
multiple parts, for example) that's basically it, isn't it?

But then all the inputs and outputs can be thought of (without losing
any information) as n-tuples of bytes. Because that's what they are,
at some level.

If you try explaining your ideas (specifically the bit that your
vectors are "physical vectors", not reducible to n-tuples of numbers)
to anyone who shares that basic understanding of what digital
computers are, then they're going to think you're just confused.


So my suggestion for how you might proceed is to learn fundamental
aspects of how computers work, what they can and can't do. (In the
abstract, that is, so I'm imagining things like "Structure and
Interpretation of Computer Programs" and the like (for lighter
reading, "Godel, Escher, Bach", I guess).)

I suggest you continue that until you at least understand why we think
you're simply confused---what you're saying doesn't make sense.

Notice that this has nothing at all to do with cryptography (scalar or
otherwise); it's about what computers (in the conventional model) can
and can't do.
