I run leafnode and let it do the filtering.
Gnus does the business for me. The SCORE feature is pretty configurable.
Best of all, you can mark that a rule is to be temporary, and after
it's not kicked in for a week or so, it will automagically remove itself
such that scorefile processing gets quicker. Doofera (doofus is Latin,
first declension, right?) such as the one we've got here tend to be forced
to abandon injection points once they've been discovered, so this fits
quite well.
