did you notice:

pattern = ^NNTP-Posting-Host: (64.59.144.75|68.8.120.74)

or this one:

pattern = ^Path:.+!newsfe[[:xdigit:]]{2}\.(lga|phx)\.POSTED![[:xdigit:]]+!not-for-mail

do people have more patterns to share in order to make it harder for
the, uhm, "person" to launch his/her attacks?
