Start with elementary group theory. Have you actually tried reading
Koblitz's "Course in number theory and cryptography"? Did you have
trouble with it?
Paul,
Of all the books i have seen, i think I will be buying this one first. Being a grad text,
I think I will hit some problems. I remember Elementary Algebra from school, no problem but
I dont even remember what linear algebra is, or even if its the same thing as Elementary Algebra?
Wikipedia was not much help either. So as for Abstract Algebra,, its new to me.
I will read the Cryptool primer, then start on the Koblitz's book - and see where I am from there.
Is there a section on elementary group theory in the koblitz book?
.
