I agree. I also think the situation is similar with implementations of
cryptosystems and side channel attacks. Most of us have to trust the
experts who designed and analysed the system.
I would, without sufficient data, guess that much more work has been done
on securing smart card implementations against side channel attacks than
securing QC implementations.
