Re: Need simple lib for asymetric encryption

Could you elaborate on that? Once generated you simply store the keys
somewhere on the disk, right?

??? You asked whether there was some other way of generating the keys. I
told you.
Storing the keys on your disk may be a terrible idea. YOu make a backup.
YOu store the backup somewhere that someone can read it, and there goes
your security. YOu use y our keys on someone else's computer and there
goes
your security. Your keys get swapped out to swap space and someone reads
the swap space and there goes your security. Etc, etc, etc.
The algorithm is the least of your worries in having a secure system.

I don't share your view. In my opinion once people break into your computer
or have physical access to it it's only a matter of time before they get
hold of your secrets (including private keys, emails, passwords etc). For me
the only thing that counts is security during transport (i.e. over the
Internet).
