Re: Help spread strong cryptography now!

PGP is good, but average email users just do not have the patience and
understanding to make through the setup processes. That is why it has
been around for many years and has not been used by many ordinay email
users.

Everyone puts an envelope on personal letters, but not many people are
using encrypted emails, even if emails have much worse security than
post cards. I think the reason is because email encryption products are
still too difficult to use. Email encryption will be widely used if it
can be made as simple as using an envelope.

An envelope has at least two advantages that most email encryption
products do not have:
1) It is easy to use.
2) It can "send to anyone", not requiring the recipient to do anything
before the mail can sent.
EaSecure seems to satisfy these two requirements and may encourage more
people to start using email encryption. True, it is not free, but
envelopes are not free either.

The reason you trust PGP/GPG more than EaSecure is only because PGP/GPG
has been around much longer. There is no fundamental difference in
encryption strength and other quality between the two.
