I disagree. Alias Season 5 (I hate that my wife watches it because 'the other seasons
were better and it's almost done now').
Pretty blond spy lady (the leada female actor from Dumb and Dumberer) is walking oh-so
secretly with pregent Jen-Ben Gar-fleck over the hearing-aid cell phone when:
Jen-Ben: Hey, I'm stuck. It's a 1024 bit encryption, can you help me?
** viewer sees a password prompt
Blondie: Yeah sure, give me a second. (chicky starts scribbing on a piece of paper)
Jen-Ben: Do you want me to get more information for you?
Blondie: No, I've almost got it.
Jen-Ben: Ok...
Blondie: The password is <something simple>
Jen-Ben: Great, it worked. You have to show me how to do that sometime.
Blondie: A magician never shares his secrets.
wtf!
Hi Jean-Luc,
This reminds me of "The Whizzkids", an 80's serial that was about a bunch
of kid-hackers. It would often come down to a cursor on the screen saying
to input the password and that's when they would suddenly pull it out of
thin air (lots of writing on papers and figuring because its just a "whatever
something technical and completely beyond anybody" and viola! hehehe ;-)
Maybe it is not so stupid because that last line there with the "magician"
bit has an element of truth don't you think !
It would be nicer if they did actually spend some more money on real
technical advisers in these things instead of allocating it all to
the special effects budget though, just a little! :)
bestwishes
