Self-appointed Expert? Sci.Crypt seems to be full of them.
Is any regular poster in here a recognised expert? Recognised by
somebody other than themselves?
This is a modified version of a post I made in July, 2005. This time,
to emphasize the uncertainty, I have randomly moved some of the listings
up or down a category.
Frequent contributors who have a low probability of posting something
that's incorrect get numeric ratings. The rating increases with
decreasing breadth or depth of cryptographic knowledge. My perceived
uncertainty in assigning these numbers is +/- 1.0.

Non-numeric ratings denote frequent posters with a noticeable
probability of being wrong.

Interesting list. I note a few with ratings that
have posted statements which were demonstrated to
be wrong and which they later withdrew or apologised
for. I also note a few with ratings who adamantly
defended positions for which other posters provided
contradictory evidence. Besides which, are any of
these people recognised as experts from anywhere other
than Sci.Crypt?
