The security of an OS depends a lot on how it's configured. Windows
is intrinsically more secure than Linux or UNIX in design. But either
OS can be secure or insecure depending on configuration.

No, it exists mostly as the result of hype. I've never seen any
fundamental advantage to Linux over real UNIX and its kin. Linux is a
great example of what marketing can do. But for servers, UNIX is
better, and for desktops, Windows is better.

I grew out of spiffy console fonts years ago.
