Or for that matter, English. There is simply no way anyone who has
even passing familiarity with mathematical writing would allow a
manuscript in which the roman and italic "a", "f", "x", and "g" are
used interchangeably. If nothing else, a long list of typographical
and grammatical corrections should have been forthcoming.
