No. See http://www.irt.uni-hannover.de/pearl/pearl-gb.html
It's development was supported/pushed mostly by some people
in Germany. At the time I happened to know a tiny little bit
about it there were also a couple of other real-time PLs
in use in the industry. I have forgotten their names, however.
