    couple of questions...

    1. what if this doesn't happen?

are there any mathematical algorithms currently known or suspected that
can replace factoring large primes and the discrete algorithm for public
    key?

    2. what about places where fiber lines are not feasible?

I've heard about limited open-air transmission of quanta...

but what could, for instance, a large radio installation that needs the
properties of public keys and can't predistribute QC-exchanged keys use?

also, the next frontier is space....

I don't think you can transmit a quanta over a interplanetary distance. ;)

until cryptographers start finding holes in the laws of physics. ;) ;)
