It depends on what you are doing. If you are like me and like to
experiment with crypto for fun, posting your encryption method might
get some people interested in discussing it, depending on their mood,
how clearly you put it into pseudocode, and your perceived willingness
to learn from the advice of others.
If, on the other hand, you are trying to make a system that someone
relies upon, you will likely get the same reception that you would
get if you posted about doing surgery on yourself in a medical group.
