First normal people wants to use Windows 98, 2000 pro or XP, they don't
wants to use Linux as you.
A sector by sector encrypto, will allows you to don't bother about temp
files, swap files in Windows ...

Second the Compusec soft use an unique IV per sector (SHA-1 of the track,
cylinder, head ...)

Third the Compusec soft is free

Four you don't show me the use of a MAC for security purpose : what is the
problem is someone stole my hard disk ?

If someone stole my hard disk and give me back, i will not use it (like the
FBI case who stole a hard disk, put a key logger and stole the PGP Disk key
of the user), i will format it and install a new system.
