RC6 and it's simplicity?

Hello all,
I have just read (albeit quickly) the following PDF:
ftp://ftp.rsasecurity.com/pub/rsalabs/rc6/rc6v11.pdf
and discovered (unless I am very much mistaken) how [surprisingly]
simple the design of RC6 seems say compared to DES which I found
difficult to grasp at first but maybe I was just reading the wrong
material!
What are your views on RC6? I have never seen an implementation of it
personally, has anyone here 'toyed' with it? Is there an RFC for it?
Can anyone point me to some C++ (or C) code?
Has anyone compared RC6-32/20/16 to AES (Rijndael) for speed and
strengths and weaknesses (attacks are mentioned briefly in said PDF)?
What were the main reasons for choosing Rijndael over RC6 for AES?
There is probably a wealth of information 'out there' but just
wondering if anyone can enlighten me first? I will of course research
more myself later but it's hometime now!
Perhaps Tom? You have implementations of both Rijndael and RC6 (is it
parameterised?) in libtomcrypt yes?
Thanks for your time.
Regards
Jim
