While I generally agree with newbie self-righteous bashing in this
case the OP didn't proclaim anything. He asked about the geometry
methods, he didn't say they would work.

The more interesting fact of the matter is for all intents and
purposes the "experts" are 99% just as ignorant as the newbie when it
comes to bleeding edge stuff. Who knows, someone might find a much
faster NFS variant this year that you wouldn't have thought about.
Does this somehow invalidate your research into the subject?

Moral: Hold off the newbie bashing until they truly deserve it.
