What the previous history you had with Percival doesn't
interest nor concern me. About informations, it is in
general a good social (group) behaviour (fairness,
kindness, generosity, etc.) to straightforwardly provide
these, as long as that doesn't cost anything (money or
time). If Percival didn't with his posts impressed me
that he knows the algorithms very well, I might eventually
have prodeeded otherwise. But as it is, I believe that he
is well acquainted with the stuff in question and hence
would be in a good and easy position to provide me a few
good pertinent references of the kind that I requested.
On the other hand, internet search results could sometimes
be difficult to filter to get the right stuff, unless one
already has sufficient prior knowledge in the specific
field being searched to adequately locate what is really
useful (and also appropriate for one's knowledge level)
from the generally large number of items returned from
the querry.
