It would help if you tell all you know: eg what format the source
documents are (pure ascii text, MS word documents, ...)
Then what do you know about the encryption application? Home made?, MS
Word "encryption", pgp? That would give information about how difficult
it is to break, and how to proceed. Some cyphers may be easy to crack,
others are very tough to impossible with reasonable effort.

If possible, publish a complete source file and its decryptioin on a web
site.

How come you have a decrypted file? Do you have the
encryption/decryption software? What do you know about that?

And:
What are the circumstances of this need? Why do you need access to this
information and do not have it?
If it's legal: Can you guess at the password?
