Yes, and it is very easy to extract that data.
In Linux I found out I could just play past the end (into the old stuff)
with mplayer (hit grey arrow keys ->).
Of cause a profi would do (in Linux)
dd if=/dev/dvd of=myhack.mpg bs=2048 skip=STARTSECTOR count=LENGTH
and have the mpegstream of your private home videos (or whatever was on
there).
You could do excellent data hiding in those not used sectors too.
Why should anyone look there?
