It's another bitch and whine paper about windows co-authored by the
mouth-piece Bruce S.
What a big surprise.
Well you know what? I've set up windows many times. And the only time I've
ever been infected with anything was at school because our communication
teacher thought forwarding the RPC ports inwards from the rest of the
network would be a good idea [I caught the Welchia virus].
The net sum of the paper is "windows bad because it has flaws". Well you
know what? GNU/Linux and other GNU tools have had [and do have] flaws too.
Just most linux users tend to be savvy enough todo regular updates and setup
firewalls. The windows users who get infected tend to be complete f'ing
morons who setup their computers insecurely and will run any random
executable sent their way.
If anything switching OSes will only make the problem worse. GNU/Linux is
much harder for a newbie to setup correctly and more likely to fall to
attack [just ask anyone off the street what say "/etc/init.d/sshd stop"
means...]
