from:
http://www.agorics.com/Library/keykosindex.html

the following

This documentation describes the design and implementation of the
KeyKOS system. Initially developed at Tymshare, Inc., it was deployed
in production in 1981 as a secure server processing credit card
transactions while simultaneously supporting other
applications. Agorics has licensed this system and the associated
patents, and utilizes the fundamental ideas and technology in our
ebusiness solutions.

production use for credit card transactions in 1981 .... it isn't
clear whether than would have been on a "bare" 370 .... or running
under VM in a virtual machine.

In 1985, M/D bought Tymshare and spun off a number of things ...
Tymnet went to B/T(?). I was brought in to perform due diligence on
gnosis before it was spun off to key Logic (and became KeyKOS). I
still have some gnosis hardcopy.
