More or less, as it depends on the ISP to hold the posts. The news server on
the isp holds a start news post id, and it is advanced once in a while, as
posts are removed from its storage. Your reader probably checked that start
id, and removed the post you mentioned from your local cache.
Another possibility is that an admin delete msg has been sent to the group,
but the odds for that are slim.
