It's a good question. =)

It's actually for a journal that I keep. I have to record some things
that I'd rather remain unknown until my death. But I'd like these
things to be known after my death. And cryptography is the only way
to achieve this end. The means given here in this thread (and in my
other thread here) are going to be sufficient. Only problem is that I
have to memorize the key. I'll find a way to use a variant of one of
the methods.

I'll give the key out before I die, but not until that is close. If I
die suddenly, well, then someone can try to decrypt it and with a
computer I think that it'll be possible to decrypt just about anything
in the future. Well, with enough computers I think anything can be
cracked. I'll put in details of how to use the key which will make
the crypt less secure. However I see no other way to make sure
someone can decrypt it in the future. A friend of mine who worked for
the NSA did tell me that 128 bit keys are cracked daily there. And we
used to think it would never be possible.

I've contemplated using a code book encryption but that's just too big
of a pain in the neck to implement. But then, so are just about all
crypts.
