    Perhaps one factor is a subconscious fear of lawlessness.
    But note that quantum randomness is still subject to very
    strict laws (constraints on behavior), and thus quantum
    randomness does *not* mean "anything goes". The amount
    of intrinsic randomness is limited, essentially to one
    Planck's constant of action per d.f., which shows up on
    the "macro" scale only under certain circumstances and
    then in specific forms.
