I may be wrong but hasn't NESSIE said that AES is ok for use? - Given that
Europe is a bit paranoid about the US listening in I find it hard to believe
NESSIE would have passed it. Europe has as many good crypto people as US/NSA
does surely.

anyway not want to get into that debate. If you don't trust AES and you don't
trust say GOST just double encipher with both GOST and AES (so long as the
speed is not an issue) .. I think I'm safe in saying the Russians aren't in
league with the NSA.
