Exactly. If "lots of stuff has to be prepared", why can't that
preparation be done BEFORE each shuttle mission takes off, just in case
another shuttle has to be launched to go save the crew's ass? Seems to
me they got awfully clever and determined when Apollo 13 was in trouble.
No sign of that kind of care and determination appeared in this case.
