Sounds like during repair your account is not longer member of
administrators group. From command prompt [enter cmd.exe in run box to open
command prompt] run the command net localgroup administrators to see what
users are in the local administrators group and if your account is not
included then logon as an account that is which may be administrator. If you
don't know the password just try using none/blank password. If your computer
is XP Home boot into Safe Mode and then try to logon as administrator
account which is only available in Safe Mode. If unsure how to get onto Safe
Mode tap the F8 key like one a second afther the computer starts up but
before it loas Windows XP to bring up the alternate boot menu. When done
just restart the computer and it will go into regualr logon mode.
