Try running IE in Tools > Compatability View for the college site.
If the system still throws a DEP error, open the System applet in Control Panel, click the Advanced tab.
Click the Settings button under Performance.
Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
Put a mark next to " Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select "
Now click the Add button.
Navigate to the Internet Explorer subfolder by click the drop down arrow next to My Documents, click on the drive where IE is installed to, then open the Program Files folder and then the IE subfolder.
Click on iexplore.exe, then click the Open button.
Click OK to the warning message.
IE will now be listed with a check mark next to it.
Click Apply, then OK.

**** REMEMBER**** to UNcheck the box next to IE when your done with the college site as disabling DEP for it is *** NOT good as to the Security of the system. ***
