Thank you for the reply. I'm also looking at the possibility that the server
is treating the connection as idle and disconnecting it. They are telling me
that they see a few access denied packets during the unlock procedure. The
database is not using windows authentication since it is access, so that
seems suggestive of some issue with the Windows security affecting the file
share hosting the MDB. Any additional thoughts are appreciated.

We use Cryptographic Logons and many databases (including myself) and don't see this
poblem.
