Re: Error 1058

The symptoms you describe have been posted in various NGs for over a month now and are *usually* associated with the malware known as Vundo\Virtumonde. Using Internet Explorer, have the system scanned here:

Several posters have had success removing the malware and restoring the Update service with that scan.

Hi,

At this moment i am attempting to turn on the automatic updates but when I try to start them on services.msc Error 1058 appears. I've tried all the possible solutions from other posts but nothing seems to work. I have already scanned for hijackerware and found a couple but deleted them. All the virus scans and spyware come up with nothing. Prior to this error I have error 0x8DDD0018] and I have followed all of the instructions of the page but nothing works. Can anyone help please? I would greatly appreciate it!

thanks in advance!
