The problem is with the individual driver(=local printer). Network printers
work fine.

Fix the reason that DEP gets called. There are many time that number of
users who are quite able to perform this task with DEP enabled.
You are trying to shoot the messenger.

Then could you remove that printer driver and install the one for the
individual printers? Or are the individual printers the same Canon?
