There is no way for us to tell if there is "some global problem" on your system. You haven't told us anything about your system and we can't see it from here. ;-)
Most commonly failure to install antivirus/antispyware programs is because of pre-existing virus/malware infection. So you probably want to make sure your computer is clean by going through these steps systematically first:
