I had to reinstall windows xp home on my pc going from 2 drives to one. My
profice was secured prior to this and I saved all profiles. I now cannot
access that profile and cannot access the pc remotely, saying access is
denied. Any way to fix, access files and pc without rtemoving the file or
scrubbing entire drive?

It's not entirely clear from your post exactly where you saved your old files,
but if they're on a drive attached to your computer, taking ownership of your
old files and assigning your user account full control permissions may provide
access.

Since you're running Windows XP Home Edition, you must start the computer in
Safe Mode, and then log on with an
account that has Administrative rights to have access to the Security tab. To
start in Safe Mode, reboot your computer and start tapping the F8 key as soon as
you see anything displayed on the screen. Keep hitting F8 until the Advanced
Startup Options menu appears. Use the up and down arrow keys on your keyboard to
select Safe Mode. Hit Enter.

Once you have access to the Security tab you can take ownership of the files and
give your account Full Control permissions. Take a look at these articles for
more info:
