Even if the user account has been deleted the accounts profile can remain.
To view the profiles right click my computer select properties, go to the
advanced tab, and hit settings under user profiles. If you've already
deleted the User Account the Profile should show up as "Account Unknown".
Its easier to remove the profile and then the User account.

still present in \Documents and Settings\. There is no longer any sign of it
in Computer Mangement, User Accounts, the Welcome screen, or on the surface
in Windows Explorer (i.e. Example's Documents). I originally renamed this
account, but changed it back before attempting to delete it. However, I'm
shown the following: \Documents and Settings\OldName\NewName's Documents\. I
just want the account deleted - properly.
As long as you're sure it's the right one, just delete those folders then.
