Recently my registry has been disabled after I did a cleaned up due to virus
on my computer. I was able to do it before this. I have always logged in as
an administrator in my XP Pro window. Someone please help me on this.
The error msg reads "Registry editing has been disabled by your
administrator".
Sounds like you may not have fully deleted the virus from your
machine.
First thing to do is to double check for virus residue by doing a free
online scan at one of the following sites:
Bit Defender http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html
Trend Micro http://housecall.trendmicro.com
Kaspersky Online Scanner http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
Panda ActiveScan http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan
WindowSecurity.com TrojanScan http://windowssecurity.com/trojanscan
Webroot http://www.webroot.com/
Good luck
