After many days trying to discover problems with exchanging my Dell DVD drive
for a different DVDRW drive I got the big blue...
The technical information *** STOP: OxOOOOO 5 c [the c had a comma like
thing attached to it] Then Ox8 with a lot of symbols like upside down
question marks then OxOOOOOOOO, Ox8 with more of the same symbols and a G5,
then just OxOOOOOOOO - all in parenthesis.
The message below said beninniing dump of phylical....Which I did read
about, I am just concerned about all those weird symbols.
Though I don't know if it is related - when I defragmented last night there
was a LOT of new unmovable files and my used space was up 2%.
I defrag often and this was a BIG jump from two days ago.
Thanks,

First of all all of those letter O values in the error code and
parameters are actually number 0. The characters used in these codes
and parameters are always numbers 0 through 9 plus letters a through 5
(representing hexadecimal (base 16) digits 0 to 15).
Right click on "My Computer" and select Manage. Expand the Event
Viewer category and browse through the Application and System
categories looking for red-flagged error records whose date and time
stamp corresponds to your blue screen problem. Double click on an
error record to see the details of that error. You should then be
able to copy and paste the actual text of the message into a reply
back here. That may show us something more about what is going on.
Good luck
