Because you are not PINGING the server you connect to - you are

Whoever answers... answers.
You should get SPECIFIC if you want to ping something 'close' to you.
Why is this such a concern?

Why?Yes it's only an example....
The Domain Controllers you connect to *are not* called
'domainname.com' - they are called
'actualservername.domainname.com'.
LOGONSERVER=I have here write the server near to me...
But I want to understand why if I ping domainname.com the IP answer
is not the server near to me- Nascondi testo tra virgolette -
- Mostra testo tra virgolette -
Ok I understand
Also - if you're having problems with domain authentication, you need to
make sure that each office/network's DC is in its own AD site/subnet (AD
Sites & Services).
