Is there a way to prevent users from double click "programs" in the
start menu to access the local drive ? We are trying to prevent
this from happening and thought we found a way with registry
entries, but after merging the registry entries we started getting
explorer errors and 'Restore Active Desktop' problems. We can do
this with a group policy if we 'restrict' access to the C drive,
but a user cannot use "My Documents". Thanks.

You might look at the Shared Computer Toolkit from MS, or Doug
Knox's XP Security Console.

Not sure if this will do the trick, but first, you responded and
second, you turned us on to something to help lockdown our lab
computers. Thank you very much.

No prob; hope it helped.
