It is bad practice to use the built-in Administrator account for daily work. You should use the account created by your son. You can copy all your original data and settings to the new account. You will need a third user account from which to work, so go to Control Panel>User Accounts and create an extra user account.

Log into the new extra user account and follow these instructions to copy your original account to the one your son made you:

After you have your data and settings copied and your account the way you want, you can then set Windows to automatically log into this account (go directly to your Desktop):
