Virus

Need Help. I seem to have either a virus or a worm. As the computer
starts t run, my wallpaper chahges to blue and then finally to white.
I can't change it nor can i access to change any settings on my
firewall. Also my internet automatically opens to a window saying
iesettings update. Don't nkow if they are all realatedbut all occured
at the same time. I have windows XP. I have run avast anti virus and
aol spyware but they haven't found anything. Help please.
