Re: Folder pictures changing...

Let me add a little more to this:

(1) The folder properties, and the picture being displayed on the folder in
the thumbnail view, are changing as previously described. In addition, (2)
the folder icons (in the thumbnail view) are changing and (3) the sort [by
name] is being reversed from ascending (A-Z) to descending (Z-A).

Does this ring any bells with anyone? I'm beginning to think that I've got
too many folders and/or too many files and Explorer is starting to walk over
itself.

I've looked at all of the tech sites and find nothing on this. Also, I
ran MS' Windows Defender and then Webroot's Spy Sweeper and neither of
them found anything.

Anyone else have any ideas on this?

i had the same problem 16 months ago i had a trojen-put a new hard drive
in
-6 months ago i reolized that this folder of the same picture 100s of the
same one kept reinventing itself every few months. I looked through
microsoft
for tech testing new programs-
i found one that searches deep into your hard drive-used it & now its
gone, sorry i cant remember the name of it.A friend told me this pic was
probably in my ram.i did delete this program after use so i wouldnt use
it at
ever hickup .
this is just a suggestion.

Hi. I think my system may be haunted. In addition to having to run the
"TaskPanelFix" applet fairly often to get the properties back to where
they
are supposed to be, I also find that my folder pictures are getting
changed.
In some cases, a new image file (its always the same file) appears in a
folder and it becomes the one displayed. I can delete it and
re-establish
the default or another picture but at some indeterminate point in the
future
it will magically reappear.

Any idea what's causing this and what I can do to stop it from
happening?

Thanks in advance,

Howard
