Your help is MUCH appreciated.

Any advice is my attempt to contribute more than I have received

Non-https password entry?
Why?

On those sites - never use the same password you use anywhere else. I don't
care what browser you use - it would be foolish to use the same
username/password combination on any site you have doubts about at all as
any other site you would ever access.

You arre only as safe as *you* make yourself.
