I'm trying to help a friend with an issue - I've read some posts
regarding giving a guest acct access to internet but nothing about
the opposite. There are 3 accts; administrator, limited and guest.
Only the guest acct can access the internet. For the other two
accts, when you click on IE it doesn't connect. There is a NetNanny
type program loaded but this seems like a weird way for it to be
configured. Could this be the problem? He is going to uninstall
that program but I wanted to see if anyone else had or has ever
heard of this particular issue. He uses XP Home. Thanks!
Well, since nothing native is going to be blocking this, I would
have to suspect the net-nany program. Unload/disable it and test.
The net-nanny program was the problem. Thanks!!
No prob - glad it's resolved.
