In further poking around I found 2 screens with conflicting status of the
firewall. I attempted to attach screen prints of these 2 screens but the
posting was rejected as too large. Now I am not certain I have a problem
with the firewall but I am getting one source that indicates it is ON while
the other source indicates it is OFF!

When I recently switched from dial up to cable, I turned on the firewall.
Every time I reboot, I find the firewall off. How do I make it stay on
across power downs? Running XP with SP2.
