We are going to be using a PC management tool Package. One of the
requirements of this package is that all XP clients have "Use Simple
File Sharing" unchecked in Tools, Folder Options, View (bottom of
list). It appears all (500) of our PC's have this checked off by
default. I am looking for a way in Group policy to disable this but
have yet to find an option - and don't expect to find one since GP
controls XP and 2000 and this option is non existant on 2000.
Thoughts anyone on how I can turn this off on all XP's? Group
Policy? Reg hack? -Rich
If you're using a domain, and all your XP Pro boxes are joined to it, SFS
should no longer actually be enabled. However, see
