following...
After a recent catastrophic failure I had to move all docs to a satelite hard
drive, then wipe the existing hard drive and re-install the original windows
XP Pro. What then has happened is that somehow I have managed to designate
somone (or maybe not as I don't remember doing this) as being the
'administrator.' to my PC. This now means that since I have been installing
various software packages back onto my pc that for some the 'administrator'
will not allow me to install certain programs even though I own them or have
them under license.
I recieve such demands as 'moving this file is not allowed by the
administrator' when I want to move a folder from one hard drive to another!
The 'administrator will not allow me to change or alter certain files at all
citing the same reason.
Is it possible for me to find a way into the administrator of my pc and
delete this individual, so I can get back to normal working?
I would be very happy to have a reply to this...
Research taking ownership of files.
