windows one care "tune up"

I've been very happy with windows onecare, (not a resource hog like
Norton or Mcafee)however this morning when I woke up it was running a
"tune up". Durring this time, when using IE 7, every link opened in a
new window and my computer acted as if I holding down the shift key on
my keyboard. The problem still existed when I got off work 9 hours
later. I found the accessibity options had been loaded to my system
tray in the "filter key" mode. I unchecked filter key and after that I
got lowercase letters only when I turned on the caps lock on on my
keyboard. Everything I clicked on my desktop, or anywhere in my
computer highlighted every file and opened every folder (again like I
was holding down the shift key). I couldn't shutdown or restart
windows. I did a malware/antivirus scan and it found nothing. I did a
system restore to yesterday and everything works well again. What the
hell did it do? This is the most weird thing I have encountered except
a mup.sys error that required reinstallation (I had upgraded a
computer) and a bad memory module on my radeon 9600 causing a
harddrive crash while deleting a video file from my desktop.
If you get those problems a system restore is in order.
